Els joined Bockstael, now Oryon in 1989.

She has over 37 years of experience in trademark law and plays a central role within Oryon’s Trademark team. As European Trademark Attorney and Team Lead, she guides both clients and colleagues through complex and strategic trademark cases.

Els advises companies on the protection, development, and management of their trademark portfolios, both nationally and internationally. She assists clients in proceedings regarding refusals, oppositions, and invalidity actions, and supports companies in protecting their trademarks against potential infringements.

In addition, Els possesses extensive experience in guiding the transfer of intellectual property rights and trademark portfolios between companies, for example in the context of restructurings or acquisitions.

Thanks to her strategic insight and years of practical experience, she helps companies sustainably protect their trademarks and utilize them optimally as valuable business assets.
