Krista is a European Patent Attorney with a dual background in intellectual property and software engineering. Krista combines technical expertise in engineering and computer-implemented inventions with extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution, opposition and litigation procedures, FTO analysis, patent searching, patent opinions and portfolio strategy.
With a career of 20+ years spanning private practice and in-house IP roles, Krista has supported R&D teams and innovation-driven organizations in securing and leveraging intellectual property assets across Europe and internationally.
Her earlier career in software engineering — including real-time systems, GIS, navigation platforms, database systems, bio-informatics and AI research — enables her to work fluently at the intersection of technology and law, particularly in computer-implemented inventions.
